HOW LINCOLN LOGS CAME TO BE
What began as two friends exploring the remote hollows of Appalachia on vacation has flourished over the years from a humble idea into this mountain home shared between our two ever-growing families. From the very beginning, we knew this area, and the people who call it home, were something special that can only be found here. Centrally located among the region’s most captivating natural landscapes and historic townships while still being shrouded deep in the foothills, Lincoln Logs gives our families and our guests the opportunity to design exactly the type of getaway they want with each individual visit. Whether you’re seeking a cinematic adventure outdoors or looking forward to peacefully staying in, there is truly something for everyone.
The mountains, the river, the small-town feel with enough to do that you never run out of reasons to stay another day– for us, the Blue Ridge area quickly became the kind of place where we would start planning our next trip back before the current one was over.
WHY LINCOLN LOGS?
Our cabin is built from hand-hewn logs, and the name felt honest. Lincoln Logs is exactly what it looks like: a real log house in the mountains, the kind you’d put together from a Christmas set as a kid. No clever branding, no invented backstory. Just a name that fits for the place we love.
OUR FAMILY
Over the years, our little founding family has expanded into all the seasons of a life well lived. From kiddos of every age to adults in every generation– from cousins and childhood friends to aunts, uncles, and grandparents– we each look forward to visiting Blue Ridge throughout the year to celebrate milestones of all sizes and reconnect with our favorite people. With a serious background in hospitality and endless summers of travel under our belts, our shared dedication to these wild, remote hollows finds a place to flourish in Lincoln Logs.
WE’RE INVESTED IN BLUE RIDGE, NOT JUST THE PROPERTY
There is a version of vacation rental ownership that treats a community as a commodity. That’s not us. Blue Ridge is not a market opportunity for us; it’s the place we chose with the people we know and the land we remain committed to serving.
We shop local, support the businesses our neighbors work tirelessly to build, and do our best to nurture and protect the wilderness that surrounds us all. When guests ask for recommendations, we furnish honest ones, not sponsored ones.
WHAT A STAY WITH US ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
We want you to feel like you are staying with family, not renting from a stranger. That means the cabin is stocked for your arrival, the details are taken care of, and if something comes up you can reach us directly. We are not a call center, we don’t automate or outsource conversations; we answer you in real time with real information and work real solutions to ensure your visit is exceptional.
If any unexpected needs arise during your stay, you have a direct line to us and we will respond. That is our promise, not a policy.
